holiday cards and gifts from shutterfly

this year, for the first time, ian and i are sending out christmas cards, and i'm so excited about it! i think holiday cards are such a great way to stay in touch with friends, to share happiness from a year almost over and excitement for a new year to come, and to just celebrate the festive season and the relationships in our lives. we created our christmas cards with shutterfly - our favourite and go-to company for all photo-customizable products. (we have loved making calendars and photo books with shutterfly in the past, and we used their sister company, wedding paper divas, to make custom napkins for our wedding!) there are lot of websites that allow you to upload photos and create cool products, but in our opinion shutterfly is the best. the options are incredibly varied, the ability to truly customize is unparalleled, and the site is so easy to use. everything is affordable (especially when there are sales, which is often!) and customer service is great. one service that shutterfly offers that is awesome is that they will not only address but also mail your cards for you!! this was a must for us since we live abroad - it would be such a hassle - and expense - to have cards sent to us here in the uk and then sent back to so many of our family members and friends in the states! for the cards we wanted to send throughout the usa, i quickly uploaded addresses (from an excel file) to shutterfly, and then shutterfly took care of the rest! we also had a batch of cards - to give to our friends on this side of the pond - sent to us here in london. for those, we chose red envelopes with super pretty gold striped liners! (see photo above - in which i didn't show too much of the card since i don't want those we sent it to to see it before they get it in the post! :) ) so many fun options in designing holiday cards - and envelopes! - on shutterfly! there's still time to create holiday cards on shutterfly and send them out to your family and friends. in fact, there's a big sale going on right now! get your holiday cards for 40% off! check out all these fun options (note the filters on the left of these screen shots - tons of fun ways to make your card look just the way you'd like!). the last day to order cards (to get them by 23 december) is this sunday! and the last day to get in your order if you want shutterfly to address and mail them for you is tomorrow!!! (see all shutterfly holiday shipping guidelines here)

shutterfly is not only awesome this time of year for holiday cards but also for gifts! a personalized photo present is one of the best ways to show love and gratitude to family members and friends at christmastime - i think shutterfly gifts really do make the best gifts.

i made a wall calendar for my parents-in-law (just like i did last year) using shutterfly. the process was easy and fun, and i know the gift will be hugely appreciated, and enjoyed all year round! shutterfly has added some new calendar designs since i created a calendar last year, and there are so many great options! (i particularly love the "whimsical florals" template, shown in the screen shots below.) there are tons of different layout options and the calendars can be customized in all kinds of ways (adding text, changing the size and cropping of pictures, rearranging the layout, etc etc.).

the last day to order calendars (to get them by 23 december) is this sunday! (see all shutterfly holiday shipping guidelines here) head over to shutterfly and get started ... because this makes such a perfect gift!!

thank you shutterfly, for helping so many create beautiful products that preserve wonderful memories and allow us all to connect and celebrate!

  1. I just love this time of year sending things made of ACTUAL paper instead of electronic clicks. I go with Minted (a similar company) because I love the look and feel of their higher quality paper. (Even their "basic" paper is high quality.) Minted also has beautiful designs by independent artists much like ETSY.

But I couldn`t find the napkins...and I really need someone to personalize some napkins for my friend`s wedding coming up in April!
