down the california one
we woke up here:
explored the campgrounds:
and wound down a hidden road to pfeiffer beach.
the sand was purplish pinkish and the air was sweet and heavy and the light was crystaly.
it was truly like a dream world. we were the only ones there.
the backdrop of the gas station almost made it worth the $5.79 per gallon.
we stopped at cafe kevah for brunch. the views were heartskipping.
and the food was splendid.
some lookout points along the california one just begged for a pull-over.
especially this one with a hill of poppies. yes, this is real.
the last stop before hearst castle was elephant seal beach.
they went on in both directions as far as the eye could see!
outlandishly stunning, outrageously beautiful, ridiculously gorgeous, fantastically pretty,
right???

You went to Pfeiffer Beach!! My dad used to take us there when we were kids and when you had to drive down this little dirt road to get there before people knew about it. I love that place!!! So glad to see your pictures from there and you enjoying a place I love so much! Hope all is well!

The blog is great, but nothing can truly describe how PERFECT this trip was. Let's reminisce about it forever.
