reading
this is my bedside table. most of them i haven’t even started…
i really want 2013 to be a year of lots of reading. it’s so hard to fit it in, but i’m hoping i can swap some time-wasting internet surfing for some beautiful immersion in the written word.
also on my list for this year:
history of love by nicole krauss
franny and zooey by j.d. salinger
atonement by ian mcewan
a god who weeps by taryl & fiona givens
gift from the sea by anne morrow lindbergh
the chosen by chaim potok
what are your suggestions?
{here’s my list for 2011}
Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier
ReplyDeleteOut of the 5 books you have up there that I have read I haves cried at least 10x reading each one. A wonderful group you have gathered! But seriously you will need tissues.
ReplyDeleteIf you like "Anne of Green Gables" (I am sure you will) you might want to continue with the other books in the series, which are lovely as well, and then there is another series by L.M.Montomery: Emily of New Moon. Enjoy reading! I have "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" waiting to be read on my bedside table ...
ReplyDeleteles miserables and man's search for meaning. love you!
