I'm Baaaaaack!
Well, the mission was AMAZING!!! I loved every second of my time as a representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. You'll hear more about my passion for the mission in no time, I presume.
I'm getting used to the feeling of wearing trousers, sorting out what I say that is English lingo and therefore undecipherable by ordinary Utahns, forcing myself to watch movies, and reacquainting myself with the internet.
NOW...
To blog or not to blog, that is the question...
I had this urge tonight to blog...where did that come from? I have some sort of inner need to document my life via the Internet. Hmmm, well at this point anything that brings some inner happiness is legit with me...
So here's what I've been up to since I have been home from the mission.
The night I got home I went straight up to Bear Lake and the whole family (all 36, except the sleeping babies) were there to greet me. I loved the banners and I loved seeing everyone, especially my nieces and nephews.
The day after was Grace and Isaac's baptisms which was such a joy for me to witness. It was a perfect thing to come home to.
It was fun to reunite with good friends. Dear Jerusalem kindred spirits Dani, Sara, Jane, Jill and I spent a magical night in Lamb's Canyon sharing stories from the last 18 months. Jane and Jill just returned from the Toronto West and Dallas Missions, Dani went to Thailand and Uganda, and Sara started dating the man of her dreams! So...good stories.
One of my very best friends of life got married a few weeks after I got home. Bless her heart, Cath got engaged in January and waited for me to get home to get married. Thanks for being patient, Bert! The wedding was SO fun!
It was so great to be with all these old friends, and it was an absolute joy to be able to attend the sealing. It was as close to heaven as you can get!
Well, we had a little too much fun as bridesmaids. Suffice it to say, this picture comes from a series of about 1,000 different poses.
These are two of my most beloved friends in all the world. Now they are both married off. Um, eek!
Dani, Jane and I took a spontaneous trip to California and stayed at Jane's condo in Huntington Beach. It was such a refreshing and fun trip.
We spent 17 magical hours in Disneyland!!!
And hung out around Newport and Huntington.
Lastly, just today I was so blessed to be able to attend the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication with my cute dad. We got to sit right in the Celestial Room and it was celestial indeed. The gospel is true, I tell ya, it is so stinking true.
That's the report for now. I feel like a rusty blogger. Am I doing this right?
